Resident Evil: Virus is a game where you are the monster, and you kill the people.

Gameplay

The game takes place in first-person perspective, so you see the world the monsters do, through their senses. But you can also switch to third-person if you so prefere. Different monsters use different move sets, and have different stats and abilities. Each monster also has their own way of healing, whether it is eating recently killed humans, or just slowly regenerating. You collect points until the game ends. You can lock on to a human by pressing and holding the R1 button, and you switch targets with the direction pads.

The game also incorporates a fear meter. Each individual human has their own fear meter, but their occupation will also determine how quickly they will get frightened. Fear-stricken enemies will panic, and they will become easy targets, as they do not use their weapons proficiently. B.O.W's can make different noises which put fear into the enemies hearts. All monsters can scare civilians. However, some monsters are scarier then others. The fear meter is invisible.

The game starts off when the effects of the T-virus first become noticeable. As time goes on, people get more scared about reports of monsters around town, and start to panic. As even more time progresses, people will start to become sick, and people will collapse on the street dead. Soon, they will rise and infect other people. This is the best time to start attacking people. You can also attack monsters as long as they aren't the same type you are. In the very end, the city gets nuked. If you survive until this, you die, but you get 1,000 points bonus.

When you die, you do start over. However, if you have enough points, you can just re spawn as the current monster in any unlocked spawn points, or as any unlocked monster. Majority of buildings cannot be entered as they are boarded up, but some, like the RPD, can be broken in to, either through the windows or the doors.

The game can also be played in multiplayer. However, both players have to be the same monster.

Humans

Humans are the main prey of the monster you will control. Being weak, they are easy to kill, but humans often have weapons, and a well train human with a weapon is often more then enough to kill the average BOW.

Civilians

The main populous of Raccoon City. As the game progresses, civilians become increasing rare as they turn into zombies.

Attack Methods

They will usually run at the sight of a monster, and have very little tactics to help them survive. However, often their will to live is more then enough to help them survive. Civilians will work together to build weapons to defend themselves. Very resourceful, they will take full advantage of any object they can get their hands on. They can make spears, slingshots, and clubs out of everyday household items. They will also grab guns of dead police officers, UBCS, and USS personnel. Some even start off with their own guns.

Police Officers

The main defense of Raccoon City. The RPD have an arsenal of weapons that they will use against you.

Attack Methods

They will shoot you on sight, and will use anything to kill you. All have guns of varying quality. But they can still run out of ammo. Once being civilians, they can still make use of everyday objects into weapons. They will only run when they have to, and they will never leave a man behind.
