"Where do you think ya goin?" -GHOST as he mercliessly shoots a R.C.P Officer who was infected during the outbreak
"Ghost" is the codename of a covert operative who served in the ranks of the Umbrella Security Service (U.S.S.), an elite paramilitary division of the Umbrella Corporation. Prior to the Raccoon City outbreak of September 1998, he was a longtime member of U.S.S Zulu team nicknamed "Shadows". Like the rest of his teammates, he was skilled in stealth operations, he often made use of biological weapons manufactured by himself, and uses rounds of specialized ammunition in his modified 44.cal Bull revolver. Trained by his father in various types hand-to-hand combat including kickboxing, Keysi, Judo, and boxing and firearms by his uncle, he also showed a remarkable aptitude for science at a young age in particular virology he is noted for his ruthlessness and cold-hearted view and twisted love of experimenting.
He even let an infected female R.C.P dispatcher named Kira turn after she was bitten by an infected dog, just to document the effects and process of turning after one has been infected by T-Virus. When much of the population of Raccoon City became infected by the t-Virus, GHOST and his teammates were ordered by U.S.S. Command to carry out Operation Cursed Hand which took place alongside Operation Racoon City which was carried out by Zulu's rival the New Delta team "Wolfpack". Their main objectives were as following.
- Reclaim Sherry Birkin, and bring her back to Umbrella Central command if possible.
- Assassinate several key VIPs still left alive and planning to sell Umbrella secrets and what truly happened to the US military, in exchange for safe passage out.
- Eliminate the remaining UCBS and USS operatives in the area, several discovered what truly happened and can't be allowed to live.
