History[]
Emerald City started off as a small coastal town, dependant on fishing for its economy before the Revolutionary War. After the war was won by America, Emerald City was the first to support New Jersey joining the country of the "United States of America". The city has been not a full supporter of wars in the past, sending possibly the fewest number of servicemen during the Civil War and both World Wars.
After World War II, Emerald City had its boardwalk built, as tourists began visiting more frequently after the prosperity gained. In order to make as much money as possible, they began work in 1948, finishing the boardwalk in 1953 and continuing to renovate and make it better up into the 2000s.
